This is the second studio album from Sun Color (Composer and Sound Artist Julio Cesar Palacio) recorded after almost 5 years from the previous "Parallel Tracks" album.
Many things and experiences has happen during these years but maybe the most important and the one who gives name to this album was to move to the mountains surrounded by nature, fresh air and peace... a new place to listen deep and dig into sound.
"Fountain of the Dog" is the name of the area where the house is located in the Collserola Mountain (Font del Gos - in Catalan / Fuente del Perro - in Spanish).
Although, this album started to be conceived in November of 2018 during an Artist Residency in Manchester at the Islington Mill Art Center in which inspiration came to record many new sounds.
The process after was to listen and play with sound manipulations using the source material to transform it with their own acoustic properties... I think the result is a micro cosmos of vibrations and reverberations in short pieces that works as sonic momentums and fleeting voices.
These momentums or short unique and independent sounds were so many that I decided to make a long track called "Daily Fragments" that is a mix of many short developments with sounds that are not related to each other ... I worked on each of these sounds independently and one sound per day (hence the name of the track) and grouped in a 14 min long piece in side B.
